Charming Circles Jean Quilt

I began this project in September 2015 after saving a lot of my jeans, I thought it would be great to make something useful out of them…

I ordered a June Tailor Charming Circles Ruler for this project & I am so glad I did, what a great tool! The ruler is sized perfectly to work with pre-cut 5″charm squares, but I cut my own squares from vintage fabrics manufactured in the factory where my mom used to work as a textile engineer. These fabrics are so very special to me.

I have always loved the combination of lace, denim, and shabby chic style…so I could not be happier with a final result! The only thing I wish I could change is not to use a layer of batting as the jean fabric is heavy enough to be used without batting.

I have also embroidered some encouraging words on the back of the quilt: Be Creative, Inspire, Learn, Dedication-Imagination-Practice, Believe, Never Give Up, Live Your Dream…etc

This quilt was finished in March 2017. Size: 79″ X 89″.
