Quilting Inspired by Luna

Two years ago today we were blessed with our first granddaughter Luna…a tiny-shiny sparkle who melts my heart & inspires me everyday.

I was so impressed when I heard about free motion quilting on a regular domestic sewing machine. So I decided to make Luna’s first quilt using this technique and it was a big hit. I love FMQ since then!

Oh, and of course, I thought it would be great to make a few matching things using fabric leftovers. Carol’s Rabbit pattern  was so much fun to work on, it only includes 2 pieces!

What a Christmas without a Quilt? In 2017 I have finished another lap quilt for Luna so she could snuggle up by TV and watch hew favorite shows.

This scrap quilt was pieced on a Baby Lock Imagine serger, quilted using walking foot, and the binding was done on a Baby Lock Soprano.

Happy birthday, little princess…I just can’t wait to make more quilts for you 🙂
